Ekphrasis at Home: an online creative gathering for women

Ekphrasis is a vivid, detailed response to visual art through writing. It explores the way imagery can evoke emotion and meaning beyond what can immediately be seen.

​Adapted into an online experience, this reflective collage + poetry workshop invites participants into an intentional creative process from the comfort of their own space.

​

​Through guided meditation, intuitive collage, and reflective storytelling, imagery and language come together as a way to explore emotions and perspectives that are often difficult to access through logic alone.

​

​Participants are welcome to create using any materials they already have at home, including magazines, photographs, journals, printed imagery, or found materials that feel personally meaningful.

​

​No artistic or writing experience is needed; only curiosity, openness, and a willingness to explore.

​

​WHO THIS EXPERIENCE IS FOR:

​This experience is designed for women interested in listening more deeply to themselves. Whether you consider yourself artistic or not, this gathering is intended as a welcoming space to create intuitively, and reflect in community with others.

​WHAT TO BRING:

​• magazines, newspapers, printed imagery, or photographs

• scissors and glue

• paper, a journal, or a notepad

• pens or markers

• any meaningful or sentimental materials they’d like to incorporate into their collage

​• Guided grounding meditation

• Intuitive collage-making

• Reflective writing and storytelling prompts

• Optional group sharing

• Closing visualization exercise to integrate the experience
